- Kimberley MLA Divina D’Anna appointed Cabinet Secretary

Premier Roger Cook has welcomed Landsdale MLA Daniel Pastorelli as the newest member of his Cabinet after a meeting of the Labor Caucus on Friday.
Mr Pastorelli, who currently serves as the Cabinet Secretary, was first elected to Parliament in 2025.
Since his appointment, he has led the Cook Labor Government’s public holiday reforms, adding two additional days off for Western Australian workers, managing stakeholder engagement across industry, business owners and the public.
Mr Pastorelli has also been chair of Perth Park Project Steering Committee, focused on driving forward a key government election commitment from the last election, including consulting with sporting organisations, tourism operators and local residents.
Prior to entering Parliament, Mr Pastorelli served as chief of staff to both Premier Cook and former Premier Mark McGowan.
Mr Pastorelli will replace former Minister Paul Papalia, who formally resigned from Cabinet and the State Parliament as Member for Secret Harbour on Friday.
Kimberley MLA Divina D’Anna was also confirmed as the Cabinet Secretary.
An announcement about changes to portfolio arrangements will be made in coming days.
