New online booking system for HRCC facilities

Have a special event coming up? Would you like to book a Horsham Rural City Council-operated venue or facility?

Council has this week launched a new online reservation system that is fair and transparent for everyone.

Mayor Robyn Gulline said, along with seasonal sports clubs, casual users were welcome to book Council-owned and managed facilities and sports grounds.

Venues for hire include Horsham City Oval, Dudley Cornell Park, Haven Hall, Horsham Community Sports Pavilion, the Racecourse Reserve and Sunnyside Oval.

“Our current system is outdated. So our Recreation and Open Space Team has chosen a new system that makes the booking process easy,” Cr Gulline said.

“It has a publically viewable booking calendar for a number that makes it really clear to see what venues are available.

“Regular users such as sporting clubs have been given the chance to reserve their facilities for their usual seasons, but there are lots of opportunities for people to host casual events as well.

“All users will have the ability to login and update their bookings. You can also easily cancel bookings that are no longer required.”

Cr Gulline said the new system would also ease the administration workload for Council staff.

“The automatic processing of allocations and bookings will present a significant time and cost saving,” she said.

“The new system will capture greater levels of data and information regarding use of our grounds, parks, gardens and facilities and this will better inform our decision making and help attract more grants and funding.”
