Having your say has never been easier, as Isaac Regional Council launches a brand-new online community engagement platform.
Speak Up Isaac is the best way to get engaged with what Council is doing, get involved in conversations and have your say about what is important to you and your community.
Mayor Anne Baker said by using the technology available to us, Council can continue to innovate the way it engages with the community.
“The current atmosphere has made it more apparent than ever the importance of staying connected and engaging with each other when we can’t be face-to-face,” Mayor Baker said.
“Speak Up Isaac will provide the Isaac community with an online platform for engagement and consultation in a safe and supported environment.
“Council will be utilising Speak Up Isaac for community consultation projects, community feedback, events, volunteer registrations and so much more.”
Mayor Baker said the information provided by the community will help deliver projects and activities that they value the most.
“We want the community to have the opportunity to easily ask questions and to drive conversation about our region in a valuable way.
“We are a region driven by pure people power, and people power does not stop at the front door of your home.
“Speak Up Isaac is giving the community the power to participate from their computers or mobile devices, and will be utilised in conjunction with other community engagement activities to ensure we capture the input of the whole region.”
Speak Up Isaac is launching with two projects you can contribute to:
- A Good News Feed will allow you to share with us some of the great things happening during these trying times
- A COVID-19 Q&A gives you an opportunity to ask questions about Council’s response to the virus and it’s impacts in our region.
