We’re creating a new section of coastal pathway near Sandringham’s Trevor Barker Reserve to divert the existing path around a sink hole.
As part of these essential safety works, we’re also realigning fencing and relocating bench seating to ensure the safety of people enjoying this popular foreshore track and look out point.
The naturally occurring sink hole, which has developed near the top of the B7 carpark, will be stabilised by the planting of new native vegetation.
Works may require the temporary closure of the existing path, with alternate routes for pedestrians nearby. These works are scheduled to commence in mid-September and be completed in approximately one week, weather permitting.
