The project is made possible thanks to funding from the Victorian Government’s Safe Local Roads and Streets Program.

What’s happening?

A new raised pedestrian crossing will be installed on Pollard Street near the intersection with Keith Street. This upgrade will make it safer and easier for pedestrians attending Chittick Park for sport, recreation and community events.

When?

Works will begin on Monday 12 January and are expected to be completed by mid-February, weather permitting.

Traffic impacts

  • Traffic management will be in place while works are underway.
  • Drivers should allow extra travel time and follow instructions from traffic controllers.
  • Access to homes, businesses and surrounding streets will be maintained during the works, though short delays may occur.
