New public toilet at California Reserve Craigmore

New public toilet at California Reserve Craigmore
The installation of a new toilet block at California Reserve, Craigmore is set to significantly improve the park experience for locals, just in time for the warm spring weather.

Funded through the Government of South Australia’s Community Infrastructure
Grants Program, the new amenities will encourage locals to stay and play longer at
the park, which was upgraded in 2022.

City of Playford Mayor Glenn Docherty has welcomed the new infrastructure at the
popular Craigmore playground.

“We know our residents value their outdoor spaces and we want to ensure they have
access to parks and playgrounds where they can stay active and connected,” the
Mayor said.

“The new facilities mean people will be able to enjoy all that California Reserve has
to offer, for longer periods of time.”

Since its transformation in 2022, California Reserve has become a favoured
destination by locals.

“California Reserve has become a popular place to meet and play, following its
makeover in 2022, which saw the installation of a new playground, basketball court,
plenty of open lawn and new exercise equipment,” the Mayor said.

“I’m sure the addition of the toilet will only make the park even more popular with
locals and visitors too.”

Situated strategically between the basketball court and California Road, the newly
installed facility is self-cleaning and features an external wall with large imagery that
showcases the park’s leafy environment.

The City of Playford is proud to bring this amenity to California Reserve, reaffirming
its commitment to community wellbeing and enriching public spaces.
