New recruits join frontline police

NT Government

The Territory Labor Government is continuing to invest in our police with 31 constables joining the ranks on the frontline.

The officers will be posted to various stations across the Territory including Alice Springs, Katherine, Tennant Creek, Borroloola and Galiwin’ku.

Fourteen will remain in the greater Darwin region at Darwin, Casuarina and Palmerston stations.

There have never been more police in the NT and our work to boost our frontline never stops.

Right now, there are 47 recruits at the police college, preparing to start their career with the NT Police.

Since January, 97 constables have graduated from training, along with 61 auxiliaries.

With additional recruitment in full swing and with an increased relocation allowance from $5000 to $20,000, there has never been a better time to join the NT Police.
