New Regional Active and Public Transport Advisory Committee members announced

Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) today (September 15) announced the nine new community members who will serve on Council’s Regional Active and Public Transport Advisory Committee (RAPTAC).

The appointment of Anna Campbell (Walk Queensland), Sheree Hughes (Heart Foundation), Tracy Kolbe-Alexander (USQ), John Osborne OAM, Maria Sloane (Yellowbridge), Chris Reynolds, Todd Rohl (Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce), Bruce Steele and Tomas Coory to RAPTAC was approved at today’s TRC September Ordinary Meeting.

Council also approved the appointment of Daniel Naisch (Department of Transport and Main Roads) and Michael Timmer (TransLink) as advisors to the voluntary advisory committee.

Council in June endorsed TRC Infrastructure Services Committee portfolio leader Cr Melissa Taylor as RAPTAC chair with additional Council representation from Cr Carol Taylor (Infrastructure Services Committee chair), Cr Megan O’Hara Sullivan (Planning and Development Committee chair) and Cr James O’Shea (Environment and Community Services Committee chair).

Cr Melissa Taylor said the first meeting of the new advisory committee was expected to be held in October.
