The Expert FindHer Resources Directory is now available.
Our department partnered with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) to develop this online directory. It contains information and tools to support women entrepreneurs, such as:
- mentoring programs
- networking opportunities
- sources of funding or finance
- business training
- professional development
The directory addresses some key challenges women experience when engaging in innovative entrepreneurship and growing startup businesses. A nationwide consultation we conducted in 2019 revealed these challenges included:
- where to access funding and capital
- access to information, networks, mentors and support
- lack of confidence
Grants awarded under the Boosting Female Founders Initiative will address one of these challenges by providing access to finance. The directory will provide other types of support to women in their entrepreneurial journey.
