The Donald MacDonald Playground will be fully upgraded from late-February, as part of our plan to improve every Bayside playground.
In July 2022, some equipment within the popular playground was identified as being in poor condition and removed for safety.
The new playground incorporates community feedback and will include a flying fox and in-ground trampoline, swings for different abilities, as well as accessible rubber pathways and more trees for shade.
Works are programmed to begin in February and expected to be completed by May 2024. The playground will be closed during construction.
