Job seekers across northern Adelaide will have the chance to meet employers, explore training pathways and discover new career opportunities when the Northern Adelaide Jobs and Careers Expo returns in 2026.
Building on the success of last year’s event, which attracted more than 4,000 job seekers, this year’s expo will bring together more than 100 employers, training providers and industry organisations under one roof.
The event will give job seekers direct access to businesses with real and immediate employment opportunities, while also providing practical support for people looking to take the next step in their career.
Opportunities will span some of northern Adelaide’s strongest and fastest-growing industries, including defence, manufacturing, construction, trades, health, food and hospitality.
Attendees will also be able to take part in interactive workshops, career readiness activities and panel discussions, providing practical advice and insight into what employers are looking for and where future opportunities are emerging.
City of Playford Mayor Glenn Docherty said the expo was about making it easier for local people to connect directly with the opportunities being created across the region.
“Whether you’re looking for your first job, considering a career change, returning to the workforce or wanting to build new skills, this is an opportunity to speak directly with the people who can help you take that next step,” Mayor Docherty said.
“With more than 100 organisations represented, you can explore a huge range of industries, ask questions, make connections and find out what opportunities are available right here in northern Adelaide.
“Our region continues to grow and with that comes demand for workers across industries including defence, manufacturing, health, construction, trades, hospitality and many more.
“We want our community to be in the best possible position to benefit from that growth.”
The impact of the Northern Adelaide Jobs and Careers Expo was recently recognised at the 2026 LG Professionals SA Leadership Excellence Awards, where the City of Playford received the Excellence in Local Economic Development Award for the 2025 event.
