No warnings for speedster

A man has booked himself a court date after being detected exceeding the speed limit in Brunswick West this morning.

Officers detected a white Holden Commodore travelling at 193km/hr in a 100km/hr zone, on Citylink just after 3.30am

After catching up with the driver and his 18-year-old and 20-year-old passengers, the trio requested to be released with a warning.

The vehicle was impounded at a cost $896.10 for 30 days.

A 29-year-old Broadmeadows man will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date for Speed dangerous and exceed the speed limit.
