Nominate young person in first Central Coast Youth Week Awards 2022

Do you know a young person who deserves to be recognised for their achievements and outstanding contributions to the local community?

Council is excited to host the first ever Central Coast Youth Week Awards and are seeking nominiations for young people aged 12 to 24 years.

The new awards will honour young people that go that extra mile for their community, make a real difference and who are positive role models for other young people within the region.

The awards span over three categories with 12 awards in total to ensure that the achievements and contributions of local young people from diverse backgrounds and abilities are recognised.

The Central Coast Youth Week Award categories include:

  • Youth Entrepreneur of the Year
  • Youth Leadership of the Year
  • Youth Volunteer of the Year
  • Youth Volunteer Mentor of the Year

The Central Coast Youth Week Awards – Rising Stars category includes:

  • Arts, Culture and Entertainment
  • Community Service and Activity
  • Environmental
  • Excellence in Education
  • Sportsperson of the Year

The Central Coast Youth Week Awards – Nominator Award category includes:

  • The Nominator Award allows schools or youth services to nominate at least one young person for the Youth Week Awards. Three of the most outstanding nominators who apply for the Nominator Award will be awarded $500 to implement a program or activity that provides positive benefits and outcomes for young people on the Central Coast.

Local community members, schools, and local services are encouraged to nominate young people worthy of this great honour.

Nominate a young person now for a Central Coast Youth Week Award.

Nominations must be received by midnight on Sunday 20 March 2022. To be eligible applicants must be an Australian Citizen and live in the Central Coast Local Government Area.
