Nominations now open for City of Kingston’s 2022 Awards

Do you know someone making a positive difference in the Kingston community? Nominations are now open for the City of Kingston’s 2022 Awards, which honour outstanding achievements of individuals and community groups in Kingston.

Kingston Mayor Steve Staikos said there are plenty of people who deserve to be thanked for making a significant contribution to the community.

“There are many people who contribute to our community and improve the lives of others, who have found ways to keep making a difference during lockdowns,” Cr Staikos said. “These awards are a wonderful way to celebrate and acknowledge them and the many residents who tirelessly volunteer their time and effort to make Kingston a stronger and more connected community.”

The awards are open to everyone who lives, works or studies in the City of Kingston, and are presented in the categories of:

  • Citizen of the Year
  • Community Group of the Year.

Nominations close 5pm Monday 15 November and award winners will be announced on Wednesday 26 January.
