  • Rural and regional women undertaking ground-breaking projects to benefit their community or industry can now nominate for the 2020 WA AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award.

The 2019 Western Australian winner was Esperance sheep and grain farmer Belinda Lay, who was recognised for her innovative project using specially designed collars to monitor sheep health.

The use of the technology will streamline livestock monitoring, particularly during lambing, and increase productivity.

The Western Australian winner will receive $10,000 to progress their project and have access to professional development and alumni networking opportunities. They will also represent WA at the national final.
