The search is on to acknowledge creative design projects that have enhanced the City of Logan.

The Logan Urban Design Awards (LUDA) is a biennial event that recognises excellence in design and delivery across projects big and small.

Nominations are now open to projects, businesses or events within Logan that were completed from 2017 to the present.

Judging will be in four categories – Master Planning; Landscape Architecture and Urban Infrastructure; Architecture and Business; and, Programs and Events.

One of the jewels in the Yarrabilba crown, the booming suburb’s The Retreat estate was the overall winner in the last LUDA awards.

In choosing The Retreat – which features the innovative Buxton Park – as the 2018 LUDA overall winner, judges praised the estate for creating “great places that are enjoyable and prosperous”.

“This project is recognised for connectivity to the residential catchment, accessibility to and through the open space . . . (and) a high standard of master-planning, design, construction and community development,” the judges said.

Nominations for all four categories close on Sunday, September 13. Entries are open to everyone from major developers through to sole operator businesses.
