Council is seeking nominations from the community for three positions on the Mildura Arts and Culture Advisory Committee (MACAC).

The MACAC has been created to provide an opportunity for community members with an interest and passion in the arts to participate in the development of arts and culture in our region, providing advice to Council on relevant projects, programs and initiatives.

In partnership with Council, the MACAC builds on our vision to create a vibrant arts community, enriching people’s lives through the provision of a diverse range of arts and cultural experiences.

Nominees will have an interest and passion for the arts and a willingness to participate in their development in our region.

Councillor for Arts Culture and Heritage and Deputy Mayor Helen Healy said this was a valuable opportunity to add to the already thriving arts community in the Sunraysia region.

“We’re so fortunate to boast a very active and creative arts scene in our region across a whole range of mediums,” Cr Healy said.

“Our Mildura Arts and Culture Advisory Committee plays an important role in fostering this creativity and further enhancing our already enviable reputation as a regional arts hub.

“Becoming a member of the Committee is a rewarding opportunity to join like-minded people who share the same passion and want to make a real difference in our community.”

Application close at 4pm on Monday, 10 July.
