Fresh off securing Silver at the prestigious NSW Regional Tourism Awards, Lismore’s premier culinary and cultural event, Norco Eat the Street has unveiled its first major program release for 2026. Food lovers can now plan their weekend with all 59 featured food and drink providers confirmed and initial entertainment highlights locked in to transform the Lismore CBD into a vibrant outdoor dining and festival precinct on Saturday, 22 August 2026.
Coming off a landmark return, the recent award reinforces the event’s reputation as one of the region’s premier food and cultural showcases. From 12pm to 7pm, Keen Street and The Quad will showcase the depth of Northern Rivers hospitality, bringing together 47 food stalls and 12 regional beverage producers operating alongside participating permanent CBD cafes, bakeries and restaurants.
The total lineup highlights an incredible cross section of cuisines featuring authentic Italian, Peruvian street food, slow cooked meats, Asian delights, artisan sourdough and handcrafted desserts. The Quad Bar area will offer visitors the chance to sample craft beer, regional wines, small batch spirits and boutique non-alcoholic beverages from top Lismore and Northern Rivers producers.
Lismore City Council Events and Facilities Lead Jeremy Sheaffe said finalising the full food and drink directory is always one of the most exciting milestones leading up to the event.
“The response from our local hospitality sector and regional producers was exceptional, making the final selection both challenging and incredibly rewarding,” Mr Sheaffe said.
“The event gives people a fantastic chance to support familiar Lismore favourites while discovering new regional food creators, showcasing the true depth of culinary talent we have right here in our region.”
That enthusiasm is shared by the businesses preparing to line the streets with local traders eagerly gearing up for one of the city’s biggest days of the year.
Taco Love Bros owner Dylan Morris said the event was a highlight for local hospitality operators.
“There’s something pretty special about seeing the Lismore CBD come alive with thousands of people enjoying great food, music and local businesses” Mr Morris said.
“Events like this are what make the Northern Rivers such a great place to live, bringing the community together while celebrating the incredible talent, creativity and passion of our local hospitality industry. We’d love to see as many local businesses involved as possible; it’s a fantastic chance to showcase what makes our region’s food scene so unique”
Alongside the extensive food and beverage offerings, the event promises a vibrant atmosphere packed with live entertainment. At the Quad Stage headliners Pinc Zinc, will be supported by Groovin the Moo Hometown Heroes Sunwilde and Black Moon Society.
Eat the Street also see the return of Planet Music Shop Show at 1:30pm, featuring live sets from Moebius, Human Dinosaur Machine and Project Planet Music. Planet Music will also host the Last Shred Standing guitar competition, calling on shredders of all ages to submit a short 15 to 30 second online video by 7 August to enter. Selected finalists will take to the stage on the day to battle it out for a share of gift voucher prizes worth up to $200.
The popular Pie Eating Competition will return, with a Latte Art event being held at BEBEY Cafe on Magellan St. A full schedule of entertainment will be released ahead of the event across Council social channels.
