North Perth Out of Control Gathering

Investigations are continuing into an Out of Control Gathering (OOCG) that occurred in North Perth on Saturday 26 September 2020.

Information is sought as to identity of the organiser of the event at the North Perth Town Hall.

Around 9.40pm Police were called to an assault of a 16-year-old girl in View Street. Approximately 150 party goers were out of the venue and in the street and due to their behaviour the party was declared out of control.

Acting Superintendent Mark RIDLEY of State Operations Division said;

“While investigations into the identity of the organisers of that OOCG are ongoing, following engagement and collaboration between WA Police, the City of Vincent and the WA Local Government Association, improved identity requirements for people booking community venues has been recommended for all Local Governments”.

The public is reminded that organisers of OOCG will be charged and dealt with by the courts.

On 25 September 2020 an 18-year-old Ridgewood woman was convicted of organising an out of control gathering (Inglewood 19 June 2020). She received a $500 fine with $225 and was ordered to pay $1088 for the cost of police resources.
