North Queensland Cowboys

The National Rugby League (NRL) has completed an investigation into allegations against a number of North Queensland Cowboys employees.

The NRL’s Integrity Unit interviewed all parties involved and reviewed all evidence available to it. The investigation follows the completion of inquiries by other regulatory bodies concerning aspects of the allegations.

The NRL has not found that any breach of NRL Rules has occurred.

No action will be taken against Cowboys employees. The NRL has written to the North Queensland Cowboys chief medical officer concerning a regulatory matter which is outside the scope of the NRL Rules.

NRL Chief Executive Officer Andrew Abdo said: “The Integrity Unit conducted a thorough investigation of each and every allegation made, including interviewing all relevant parties and reviewing all available evidence. A significant issue was whether certain matters engaged the NRL Rules or were of a private nature. The NRL has not identified any breaches of the NRL Rules arising from the allegations.”
