Northbridge Assault Charge

Perth Police have charged a 20-year-old man in relation to an incident in Northbridge last night, Saturday 23 September 2023, which left a security guard injured.
About 11:30pm, the security guard was working at a licenced venue on Lake Street when he attempted to escort out a patron who was refusing to leave the venue.
It will be alleged the patron – a 20-year-old man – struck the security guard with a drinking glass.
The security guard received a laceration injury to his head, which required medical treatment at Royal Perth Hospital.
Police were nearby at the time of the incident and the patron was immediately arrested outside the venue.
A 20-year-old man from Baldivis has been charged with:
– Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm
– Failed to leave licensed premises when required to do so by an authorised person
He was refused bail and is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today, Sunday 24 September 2023.
