Perth Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a wounding incident at a licensed venue on Aberdeen Street, Northbridge this morning, Saturday 19 September 2020.
About 1:00am the victim, a 24-year-old man, was approached by another man. After a brief interaction the man struck the victim to his face with a glass.
The victim received a serious laceration to his face. His friends and other members of the public provided emergency first aid and he was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance.
The man who struck the victim was detained by security staff and other patrons until Police arrived and took him into custody.
A 33-year-old man remains in police custody.
