A Norwood couple’s weekly grocery shop delivered a lot more than milk and bread after a recent Lucky Lotteries draw turned their routine trip into a $100,000 windfall.
The Adelaide residents held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 11096, drawn 25 August 2026. They can look forward to $100,000.
The winning couple were out enjoying a cup of coffee when they missed a couple of phone calls us trying to reveal the news of their windfall.
“Bloody oath! Thank you!” the winning husband exclaimed when he finally picked up.
“I’m a bit numb! We went to Woolies the other day and I had some loose change in my pocket, so I decided to pop in and grab a small ticket for fun. I never expected to win big!
“We’re actually out having a cup of coffee at a café right now. I noticed I had a few missed calls, and a text message urging me to check my ticket.
“My wife is with me now and she is jumping up and down. I’m sure she is also thinking of ways that we can spend it too!
“We’ll see what happens tonight but I’m sure we’ll have a champagne to celebrate.
“Happy days! Thank you!”
Their winning entry of one random number was purchased at Tusmore Trader, Shop 9, Marryatville Shopping Centre, Cnr Kensington Road & Tusmore Avenue, Marryatville.
