NOTICE TO NEWSROOMS/PRODUCTION TEAMS: New Women+ of EVs speaker guide available

Women of EVs

Today on World EV Day, the Australia and New Zealand chapter of Women of EVs is launching a new speaker guide for journalists, producers and event organisers seeking expert female perspectives on the growing EV industry. The guide highlights a range of strong female+ voices from across the EV industry who are contributing to the decarbonisation of Australia and New Zealand’s transport and energy sectors. “Traditionally, the automotive sector, technology, and sciences have lacked female influence and voices – to their detriment. Fewer than 25 per cent of professional STEM roles are held by women” said Women of EVs Chair, Alina Dini. “We know the media and other forums want to diversify the voices we hear from in tech and in motoring and so we’ve provided a free resource that showcases our region’s incredible talent pool to encourage more female leadership.

“Of course, we hope that one day a WEV+ speaker guide won’t be necessary. But for now let’s hope this initiative broadens the range of voices we’re hearing from about the exciting shift to electrification.” You can access the Women of EVs Speaker Guide here.
