Now Hiring: National Executive Assistant

ABOUT THE ROLE

An exciting opportunity exists to work in the MUA’s National Office in a Full-Time 12-month contract. As part of a small team in a dynamic environment, your coordination and communication skills, along with your flexibility, will enhance the level of administrative support provided to National Officials as well as coordinating the day-to-day functions across National Office.

You will be adaptable across a range of diverse responsibilities, underpinned by your high level of demonstrated skill within the following key areas:

  • Providing functional support across the National Office
  • Diary management including forecasting and scheduling
  • Managing individual Official’s communication flow
  • Providing written reports using Microsoft suite – accurate minute and note taking
  • Communicating across Officials to prioritise intersecting priorities
  • Strategic time management and coordination to enable practical delivery on commitments
  • Practical assistance to the National Executive Officer
  • Support in the development and refinement of workplans
  • Oversee and assist with events coordination, meetings, catering, and conference calls
  • Provide support for campaigns & projects
  • Support to the Travel & Events team
  • Support to the Conference Centre team

  • Managing multiple calendars / email inboxes
  • Maintaining calm while dealing with a diversity of personalities

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a highly organised and intuitive administrative professional with a commitment to collaborative and communicative small team effectiveness and demonstrated problem solving skills.

To be considered for this role, you will have experience in a similar role in an Electoral Office or as an experienced Executive Assistant; a qualification in business administration would be advantageous.

Advanced computer literacy, database and MS Excel skills and attention to detail are a must along with an ability to adapt and be flexible with your approach to coordinating and managing your own and others’ time in a fast-paced environment.
