Leeton Shire Council was delighted to host Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales today at the Council chambers.
The NSW Governor met with Mayor Cr Tony Reneker, Cr Michael Kidd, Cr Tracey Morris and General Manager Jackie Kruger to discuss Leeton’s primary industries, education, health and medical services, and its multicultural and diverse community.
The Governor’s stay concluded with a visit to the Leeton Museum & Art Gallery to learn about Leeton’s rich history, before she embarked on a tour of the Sunrice mill and a visit to the Whitton Malt House.
