The Blacktown community is being given their first look at the design for the new Glendenning Ambulance Station, with an artist’s impression of the planned facility unveiled today.
The new ambulance station will be located at 130 Glendenning Road, Glendenning and is being delivered as part of the NSW Government’s $615.5 million NSW Ambulance Infrastructure Program to bolster frontline emergency services.
The modern, purpose-built facility will support local paramedics with contemporary workspaces, improved operational capacity and infrastructure designed to meet the needs of the growing Western Sydney community.
The artist’s impression, which showcases the station’s façade, marks the latest milestone in the delivery of the new ambulance station.
The new ambulance station will include internal parking for up to 12 emergency ambulance vehicles, on-site vehicle wash facilities, administration and logistics areas, multipurpose spaces, staff amenities including a gym, and on-site parking.
NSW Ambulance identified the location through a comprehensive service planning process that analysed Triple Zero (000) demand and ambulance response requirements across the region.
Planning and design work will continue as the project progresses, with the community to be kept informed as the station moves towards construction.
The NSW Government’s $615.5 million NSW Ambulance Infrastructure Program will deliver 30 new ambulance stations and supporting infrastructure across Sydney, the Central Coast, Newcastle, the Hunter and Illawarra regions over the coming years.
This new station at Glendenning will complement other ambulance infrastructure investments across Western Sydney, including the planned Prairiewood, Prestons and Carlingford ambulance stations.
This is part of the Minns Labor Government’s plan to rebuild our frontline workforce including by delivering a historic pay increase for our paramedics and recruiting an additional 500 paramedics in rural and regional areas.
We are also investing $120 million to deliver 60 new beds evenly split between Blacktown Hospital and Mount Druitt Hospital to meet the growing needs of Sydney’s West.
