An investigation is underway following a brawl in Sydney’s west last week.
About 10.10pm on Friday 28 August 2020, police were called to Wigram Street, Harris Park, following reports of a large group of men fighting.
Upon arrival, officers attached to Parramatta Police Area Command, assisted by Cumberland Police Area Command and the Operations Support Group, dispersed the group.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated one man, aged 33, for minor head injuries after he was punched and knocked to the ground. He is currently assisting police with inquiries.
No other injuries were reported.
Police are investigating whether the incident is racially motivated.
As investigations continue, police are conducting high-visibility proactive patrols of the area and appealing for anyone with information, or who was in the area at the time, to come forward.
