NSW police appeal following attempted hotel robbery near Inverell

Police are appealing for public assistance after an attempted robbery of a hotel in western New South Wales.

About 11.20pm (Sunday 3 February 2019), three unknown men believed to be armed with weapons, were outside a licensed premises on Warialda Street, Yetman, where they approached and allegedly assaulted a 49-year-old female employee, before demanding cash, and fleeing the scene empty-handed.

The female victim did not suffer any injury as a result of the assault.

The armed men were last seen on Dight Street in a red Holden Commodore possibly bearing QLD plates.

Police from New England Police District are now searching for three men described as being of slim build, and wearing face coverings, seen leaving in a red Holden Commodore sedan bearing QLD plates.

As inquiries continue, police are urging anyone with dash cam vision or with information about the red Holden Commodore is urged to contact Inverell Police Station on (02) 67220599.
