NSW police appeal for witnesses after teenager grabbed at Picton

Police are appealing for information after a teenager was grabbed by a man in Picton yesterday.

About 6pm yesterday (Sunday 10 November 2019), a 15-year-old girl was running along the Picton Botanical Gardens bike track on Regreme Road when a man, she had seen seated in the park earlier, grabbed her from behind.

The teenager managed to break free from the man – sustaining minor scratches and bruising on her wrist – before running home to alert her parents, who then notified police.

Police from Camden Police Area Command attended the teenager’s home and commenced investigations.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged between 40 and 45 years old, about two metres tall, with short, black curly hair. The man is believed to have a tattoo on the back of his left hand.

He was last seen wearing dark track pants and a dark hooded jumper.
