NSW police are responding to fatal crash at Cumborah

A report will be prepared for the Coroner after a fatal crash in the state’s north-west.

About 1am yesterday (Monday 27 May 2019), a Holden Commodore was travelling east on an unnamed and unsealed road at the Grawin Opal Fields, near the town of Cumborah, north west of Walgett, when it left the road and struck a tree.

The driver, a 57-year-old man, died at the scene.

The crash was discovered by a passer-by about 6.45am the same day.

Officers from Central North Police District attended and commenced an investigation.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
