NSW police are responding to fatal crash at Pacific Highway, Nerong

Traffic delays are expected after a fatal crash on the Pacific Highway.

Just after 2pm (Sunday 14 April 2019), a three-car collision occurred on Pacific Highway at Nerong.

The male driver of one vehicle died at the scene. Another driver remains trapped in one of the other vehicle.

A child passenger in one of the vehicles has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The third driver suffered minor injuries and has been taken to Bulahdelah Hospital where he will undergo mandatory blood and urine tests.

Northbound lanes of the Pacific Highway are closed, with traffic diverted at The Bucketts Way.

Southbound traffic is slowly moving past the crash site.

Drivers should expect delays and use alternate routes.
