NSW police are responding to fatal crash at South Coast Police District

A man has died after a single vehicle crash on the south coast.

About 2.40pm (Tuesday 11 June 2019), a Mazda Tribute was travelling north on Bermagui-Tathra Road, Wapengo, when it left the road and collided with trees.

The driver and sole occupant, a 76-year-old man, was trapped in the car for a short time before being released and conveyed by ambulance from the scene.

Despite medical efforts, the man died about 5.45pm.

Officers from South Coast Police District commenced an investigation.
