NSW police are responding to fatal crash at Wagga Wagga

Police are investigating a fatal crash in the state’s Riverina region yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the Sturt Highway, in the Wagga Wagga suburb of Forest Hill, about 7.30pm (Wednesday 12 June 2019), following reports a Mitsubishi Outlander and a Kenworth semi-trailer crashed head on.

Officers from Riverina Police District attended.

The Mitsubishi driver, a 30-year-old man, died at the scene.

The truck driver, a 47-year-old man, was taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established, and the road was closed for some time.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
