NSW police arrest man after stabbing in Sydney

A man has been arrested following a stabbing in Sydney’s CBD last night.

About 11.50pm (Sunday 16 February 2020), emergency services were called to Bligh Street near Hunter Street, Sydney, after reports of an assault.

Police believe three men were involved in an argument, before it turned into a physical altercation where two men sustained lacerations to their arms and face.

The pair, aged 24 and 46, were taken to St Vincent’s Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A third man, aged 57, was arrested at the scene and taken to Day Street Police Station.

Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
