NSW police arrest man in connection to 2018 Bankstown shooting murder of Ho Ledinh

Another man has been arrested in connection to the shooting of Ho Ledinh at Bankstown last year.

Just after 3.35pm on Tuesday 23 January 2018, 65-year-old local solicitor, Ho Ledinh, was shot while sitting at a cafe at Bankstown City Plaza.

Despite the efforts of police, NSW Ambulance Paramedics, and members of the community, Mr Ledinh died at the scene.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, and Bankstown Police Area Command, established Strike Force Eugene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

A 38-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman were charged by Strike Force Eugene investigators in February and March 2018. They remain before the courts.

Following further inquiries, a 34-year-old man was arrested at a home in Leppington, about 7am today (Thursday 30 May 2019).

The man was taken to Narellan Police Station where he is assisting police with their inquiries.

Investigations under Strike Force Eugene are continuing.
