NSW police arrest six teens after police car rammed at Liverpool

Six teens have been arrested after a police vehicle was rammed in Sydney’s south-west this morning.

It was about 7.50am (Thursday 16 April 2020), when police saw two stolen vehicles – a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Honda Odyssey van – being driven through Liverpool CBD.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command followed and stopped the vehicles at a red light in Orange Grove Road; however, it’s alleged one of the vehicles rammed the police car in an attempt to flee.

The then came to a rest on a bollard outside a liquor store. One of the teens attempted to run but was arrested nearby.

Six juveniles were arrested and taken into custody.

Three officers received minor injuries when the police vehicle airbags were deployed.
