It’s alleged the pair stole a handbag before running from the home.

Police were alerted and officers from Oxley Police District attended.

Shortly after 4am, police were patrolling the Robert Street area when they attempted to stop an 18-year-old man. He was arrested after a short struggle and taken to Tamworth Police Station.

The teen was charged with:

  • Be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner (x2)
  • Steal motor vehicle
  • Aggravated break and enter dwelling in company – steal more than $60,000

He was granted conditional bail to appear before a children’s court on Tuesday 2 February 2021.
