NSW police arrest three men after assault in Sydney Olympic Park

Three men have been arrested after an assault in Sydney’s inner-west this morning.

About 12.15am (Sunday 21 July 2019), police were called to an apartment block at Sydney Olympic Park following reports of a brawl.

It is alleged that a group of men attacked a 24-year-old man in the foyer of the apartment block. A male and female came to his aid and were also allegedly assaulted.

Officers from Auburn Police Area Command conducted a patrol of the surrounding area and located three men fitting the description of the alleged attackers.

Following investigations conducted at the scene, the three 18-year-olds were arrested and taken to Auburn Police Station.

A man from Liverpool and another man from Casula were charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in the company of others and affray.

A second Casula man was also charged with those two offences plus an additional charge of assault occasioning bodily harm.

Two of the males appeared at Parramatta Local Court today. All three males have since been granted conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Thursday 8 July 2019.

The two males who were allegedly assaulted were taken to Concord Hospital for treatment.
