NSW police charge four after pistol, cocaine, cash and vehicle seized

Four people have been charged after officers seized a firearm, cash, cocaine and a vehicle, as part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs across Sydney’s south and south-west.

In May this year, detectives attached to Sutherland Shire Police Area Command established Strike Force Treble to investigate the activities of an alleged criminal syndicate involved in the supply of prohibited drugs – mainly cocaine – in the local area and surrounding suburbs.

Following extensive inquiries, detectives executed two search warrants at homes at Liverpool and Prestons from 8am yesterday (Friday 19 November 2021).

During the searches, police seized a pistol, ammunition, 140g of cocaine, $18,280 cash, multiple mobile phones and equipment consistent with the supply of prohibited drugs.

Officers also seized an Audi station wagon valued at $280,000.

All items seized will undergo further examination.

During the operation, two men – aged 29 and 24 – and two women – aged 29 and 51 – were arrested and taken to Liverpool Police Station.

The older man was charged with 13 offences;

  • Supply prohibited drug on an ongoing basis (x6),
  • supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity),
  • knowingly deal with proceeds of crime,
  • deal with property proceeds of crime,
  • possess unregistered firearm pistol,
  • not keep firearm safely – pistol,
  • possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority, and,
  • knowingly direct activities of criminal group.

The younger man was charged with take part supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.

The older woman was charged with supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, operate drug premises and deal with proceeds of crime.

The younger woman was charged with take part supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), participate criminal group contribute criminal activity, and knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.

All four were refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Saturday 20 November 2021).

Investigations under Strike Force Treble are continuing.
