NSW police charge man after armed robbery at Kelso

A man has been charged following an armed robbery in the state’s Central Tablelands last month.

About 12.40pm on 30 January 2020, two men, armed with an iron bar, entered a business on Limekilns Road, Kelso.

The men threatened a staff member before stealing a large amount of cash and a phone. No one was injured.

Officers from Chifley Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, about 1.30pm yesterday (Friday 14 February 2020), police arrested a 38-year-old man at a property in Gulargambone.

The man was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon, resist police and assault police.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in Dubbo Local Court today (Saturday 15 February 2020).
