NSW police charge man after demanding money from teenage cashier at Orange

A man has been charged following investigations into an incident that occurred at a local pharmacy in Orange earlier this month.

Shortly before 6pm on Tuesday 3 September 2019, a man entered a pharmacy on Lords Place and approached the counter.

He approached the 15-year-old attendant and allegedly demanded she open the register and hand over a sum of cash.

The young girl complied, and the man left the store with the cash.

Police were called, and an investigation was commenced by officers from Central West Police District.

About 1pm today (Thursday 19 September 2019), a 34-year-old man was arrested in Dubbo. He was taken to Dubbo Police Station where he was charged with demand money with menaces.

He was refused bail and will appear in Dubbo Local Court tomorrow (Friday 20 September 2019).
