NSW police charge man after Haberfield stabbing

A 22-year-old man has now been charged following a stabbing at Haberfield yesterday.

The incident occurred just before 8pm (Sunday 1 March 2020), when a 22-year-old man presented himself to Haberfield Ambulance station, on Sloan Street with a stab wound to the chest.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man before taking him to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Officers from Burwood Police Area Command commenced an investigation and have charged the 22-year-old Horningsea Park man with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possess ammunition without holding a licence.

He was refused bail and will appear at Liverpool Local Court tomorrow (Tuesday 3 March 2020).
