NSW police charge man and woman over murder on South Coast

A man has been charged with murder and a woman has been charged with concealing a serious offence following the stabbing death of a man on the South Coast in April.

Just before 11.50pm on Saturday 13 April 2019, emergency services were called to a home at Surfside, just north of Batemans Bay, after reports of a stabbing.

Officers from South Coast Police District attended and located a 29-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to his torso. He was unable to be revived and died at the scene.

Two men, aged 18 and 48, were arrested at the time, however, they were released pending further inquiries.

Following further investigation, about 1.15pm today (Thursday 11 July 2019), the 18-year-old man was re-arrested at a hotel in Goulburn.

He was taken to Goulburn Police Station.

About the same time, a 46-year-old woman was arrested in Batemans Bay and taken to Batemans Bay Police Station.

The man was charged with murder and refused bail to appear at Goulburn Local Court tomorrow (Friday 12 July 2019).

The woman was charged with conceal serious indictable offence and refused bail to appear at Batemans Bay Local Court tomorrow (Friday 12 July 2019).
