NSW police charge man following fatal crash near Nowra

A man will face charges following the investigation into a fatal two-vehicle crash near Nowra last year.

About 3pm on Friday 26 October 2018, a small tanker truck travelling west and a utility travelling east collided on Bolong Road, Coolangatta.

The driver and sole occupant of the truck, a 63-year-old man, died at the scene.

The driver of the utility, a 56-year-old man, was taken to Wollongong Hospital with leg and abdominal injuries. He also underwent mandatory testing.

Following an investigation by officers from the Southern Crash Investigation Unit, on Sunday (3 March 2019), the 56-year-old man was served with a Future Court Attendance Notice for the offences of dangerous driving occasioning death and negligent driving occasioning death.

He is due to appear before Nowra Local Court on Monday 20 May 2019.
