NSW police charge man over child abuse material at Harden

A man has been charged over possession of child abuse material in the state’s South West Slopes.

About 10.35pm yesterday (Wednesday 30 October 2019), police were patrolling Lucan Street, Harden, when they had cause to speak to a 62-year-old man.

As a result of further inquiries, the officers seized two mobile phones that were in the man’s possession.

In the following days the mobile phones were examined, and child abuse material was allegedly located.

About 11.30am today (Thursday 31 October 2019), the 62-year-old man was arrested at a home in Harden. A computer and several electronic storage devices were seized at the home.

The man was taken to Young Police Station and charged with possess child abuse material.

He was bail refused to appear at Wagga Wagga Local Court tomorrow (Friday 1 November 2019).
