NSW police charge man over peep and pry at Erina

A man will face court today after an alleged peep and pry incident on the state’s Central Coast yesterday.

Police will allege just after 8am (Tuesday 2 April 2019), a 14-year-old boy was using the toilet at a shopping centre on Terrigal Drive, Erina, when he noticed a man peering over the cubicle wall.

When the boy left the toilets, he noticed the same man nearby and recorded a video of him; the boy told his teachers when he arrived at school and police were alerted.

Officers from Brisbane Water Police District attended the school, obtained the video and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, a 61-year-old man was arrested later that day at Terrigal Police Station where he was charged with observe person in private act without consent-aggravated.

He was refused bail to appear in Gosford Local Court today (Wednesday 3 April 2019).
