NSW police charge man with 27 firearm, drug offences at Wee Waa

A man will appear in court today after being charged with 27 offences in the state’s New England region.

About 11.40am on (Tuesday 25 June 2019), police from Oxley Police District conducted a search warrant on a Vera Leap Road address following an investigation into drug and firearm offences in the Wee Waa area.

Police seized a number of items including six firearms, two prohibited weapons and a quantity of cannabis.

At 11.05am on Tuesday (2 July 2019), police arrested a man, aged 51, in relation to the warrant.

He was arrested and taken to Narrabri Police Station where he was charged with 27 offences including aggravated possession, possess ammunition, possess parts, possess prohibited weapons, possess explosives (fireworks), goods in custody, possess drug and possess implements.

The man will appear before Moree Court today (Wednesday 3 July 2019).
