NSW police charge man with aggravated break and enter, assault and intimidation offences at Orange

A man will face court after an investigation into a home invasion where a woman was allegedly assaulted.

On Sunday 15 September 2019, a 61-year-old woman was asleep in her Leura Road, Orange home when she was woken by a noise. The woman was confronted by a man.

The man assaulted the women and took cash and other personal possessions before the man ran from the scene.

Officers from Central West Police District attended and commenced an investigation with the assistance of Detectives and Crime Scene Officers.

Yesterday (Wednesday 4 March 2020), a 37-year-old man was taken from a correctional facility to Bathurst Police Station.

He was charged with break, enter and steal in circumstances of aggravation, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, robbery in circumstances of aggravation and intimidate with intent to cause fear of physical or mental harm.

He will remain in police custody and will appear in Orange Local Court on Monday 9 March 2020.
