NSW police charge man with aggravated robbery after woman assaulted at Dubbo

A man has been arrested and charged after a woman was allegedly assaulted and robbed in Dubbo.

Officers from Orana Mid Western Police District allege a 29-year-old woman was approached by a man as she was pulling into a driveway on Thompson Street about 10pm (Friday 10 May 2019).

The man opened the passenger door and took the woman’s property before allegedly assaulting her by grabbing her hair and pushing her into the car door and window, resulting in a head injury. The woman was then pulled out of the vehicle by a second man.

Police initiated an investigation and following inquiries arrested a 52-year-old man at a home in Narromine about 1pm yesterday (Saturday 11 May 2019). He was taken to Dubbo Police Station and charged with aggravated robbery.

He was refused bail to appear in Dubbo Local Court tomorrow (Monday 13 May 2019).

The second man is yet to be identified and the woman’s property and car have not been located.
